February 2019 News

Luther Memorial Academy students are collecting money this month to donate to The Caring Place. They have scheduled several fun days such as, Cape Day and Pajama Day to encourage students to donate to the cause.

They are also getting ready for their Read Across America Celebration which will be held on March 1st, 2019. Guests from all over the community will be coming to visit and share the importance of reading. LMA students are in the middle of a reading contest to see who can read the most books, which class can read the most books, and if the school as a whole can reach their goal of 2000 books read for the month of February! The top 3 readers get to ‘Pie’ Mr. Paul or a teacher in the face!

Pay it FUR-ward:

The Anna Shelter is coming to read to the students at LMA on Read Across America Day. To say thank you for donating their time we will be taking up a collection of paper towels and disinfecting wipes now until Friday,March 1st. The shelter is in most need of these items at this time. All donations can be placed in the collection box in the first grade classroom.

Thank you for all your help and support,

LMA Teachers
