About Amy Gilewicz
Ms. Gilewicz is a mother of four who loves working with children. She has a passion for art and theatre. She enjoyed reading – especially historical fiction and Newberry Medal winners. She loves to travel and see new places and cultures.
About Middle School Social Studies
In Ms. Gilewicz’s 6th grade world cultures class, students will study ancient civilizations and their governments and cultures such as Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greek, and Rome.
In 7th grade Geography class, students will learn basic land and water forms as well as map work and cultures all over the globe.
In 8th grade American History, students will study US history from explorers through the revolution to the civil war in depth. The class will take an expanded look at U.S. history in the series, “America: the Story of US.”
All classes will get current event coverage through CNN 10 and Scholastic magazines.
What does Ms. Gilewicz like best about teaching at LMA?

- 1 one subject notebook (Math)
- Ruler (with both Metric and Imperial) (Math)
- Regular calculator (Math)
