About Michelle Harrington
Mrs. Harrington grew up in Erie County and attended Mercyhurst College, but she spent 10 years and began her teaching career in Eastern Pennsylvania. She and her husband lived in Schuylkill County where they began raising their family. They moved back to the Erie area and now continue the family tradition of raising livestock and farming.
Mrs. Harrington is so excited to work with the students and families of Luther Memorial Academy! She is looking forward to the smaller class sizes which will help us to build better relationships and allow students to truly feel like our classroom is their home away from home.
About the 5th grade year at LMA
Fifth grade is such an important year full of new challenges, growing independence, and taking the responsibility your child began to develop in fourth grade to the next level. We will look at more advanced Math such as fractions, decimals, and geometry. We will be working on reading and analyzing complex texts as well as working on writing skills. We’ll do some hands-on learning and investigations in Science and look into early American history for Social Studies.
